This is top-notch writing. It delivered everything that I expect from a movie of this genre. Deliciously crafted and meticulously thought out.

I love when a movie makes me feel like I don’t want the dialogues to end. It had perfect pacing and everyone had their moments to shine.

Great film, pulling you in to a nice homage for the stylish world of the retro spy movie genre such as the Ipcress File. Couldn't fault it, well worth your time.

this is a movie with a difference

This is a masterpiece in espionage study. Classic Soderbergh, with his favourite actors. If you like attention tovdetsils and plenty of verbal puns, you’ll ebjoy it thoroughly. „Black Bag” is high-trch espionage drama, therefore a bitvodva cybersecurity knowledge is required, to fully grasp all the details - e.g. understsnding what Stuxnet is.
My only complain is not exactly movie related, but Cate Blanchett: why, oh why? Aging gracefully doesn’t mean botox abuse.

If Mr & Mrs Smith was Checkers, this is Chess. Soderberg avoids a cliched pop hits structure and goes for jazz... slow burn, layers of skilled liars and trying to figure out who, if anyone, you can trust and what are clues, and what aren't. Plays out a little like a six in the room whodunnit including a comedy of manners dinner party, minus the comedy. Some soft focus and long edits add to a mood and style. Not a film you can scroll on the phone through but a satisfying meal rather than takeaways.

Amazing spy movie, one of the best out there for sure. The pace of the movie, the music and the acting all executed to perfection.

What an unexpected gem! I thought it was going to be an action spy movie but it's almost more of a noir-esque mystery with a polished modern feel.

It hits all the beats super well. It's an original story. The dialogue is great, serious sometimes but super funny at other times. It was the obvious the audience in the theater was really feeling it which was fun, too.

Maybe the conclusion came together a little bit fast? That's the only negative thing I can really think of.

It's simple, fun, clever, and stylish. The cast is great.

Watched Black Bag with Iva, Ryan, Justin, and Mario until he left. Iva fell asleep. I REALLY liked it. A smart dialogue driven movie. Intense trying to decipher everyone’s motives. I want to rewatch it to make sure I fully understood it. Connor 10, normal 9. 👓
