phenomenal, do not miss out
It's fascinating how so many subjects are dealt with so naturally in this movie. The narrative revolves around the charming Mahin, played masterfully by Lily Farhadpour. Based on her daily life, the film tackles issues such as loneliness, socialization, family relationships, memory, politics, culture, the impermanence of life and, above all, the affection and love she carries within her. The dynamic between Mahin and Faramarz, played by Esmaeel Mehrabi, is wonderful, marked by authenticity and captivating dialogues that give the scenes a unique beauty.
The fact that someone who has not seen a naked woman for over 30 years does carry a strip of Viagra is very well prepared to say the least.
This is the first Iranian movie filmed in secret within Iran, defying the government's mandatory hijab law, which forbids showing women’s hair in movies. The director and cast were incredibly brave, and now they are under persecution, forbidden to leave the country, and may even face jail time. The film tells a poignant story about aging and loneliness.
A danger for lonely people
It's been a while.... what a meaningful beautiful film. Thank you for the makers, especially if they put yourselves in danger for this.
