A masterpiece of a movie, truly amazing. A great intense movie that keeps you focused, it’s like you are experiencing it yourself as the camera work techniques makes you feel like you are actually there. The characters storys are amazing. You can tell they used real fire on set as everything looked real and they used real fire footage too. I highly recommend. 10/10. Oh! Its based on a true story too. I do attend to find that the movies i like the most are the ones a lot of other people don’t like for some reason i guess thats why they called hidden gem movies which is what this movie going to be within a year. I do get why some people might not like it because of camera work is a bit shaky, i get it because i did watch movies thats a lot worse camera work than this and a lot of people actually like that movie when I didn’t, I forgot what that movie was called but yeah. But with this movie after the first 10 mins the camera gets a lot better and more stable.
This is an amazing viewing experience.Excellent and outstanding.Has the excitement of an old-school disaster spectacle.Movies end but the fires are here to stay!
Really enjoys this. Greengrass makes these movies in his sleep and, in my opinion, makes them the best.
I'm not entirely getting the negativity for this film. Yes, sure, there are a few embellishments from Hollywood but, its a movie. From all accounts, a faithful retelling of an extremely heroic story from two of the three adults that were on the bus.
One of the most horrifying things I have ever seen. And it will only happen more and more.
There are sections of unnecessarily poor shaky camera work, but otherwise the production values are top-notch. Once the early portion of setup is complete, and the characters focus on the important stuff, the film moves steadily onwards with no distractions. The fly-throughs (and there are a good number) communicate well what it is like inside a forest fire, to viewers who are blessed to have no experience.
The movie features great acting performances, excellent cinematography, and impressive special effects.
The story is based on the real event of a school bus ordeal in the midst of the 1998 California so called camp fire, which resembles a lot the more recent LA fires.
While the movie does take some creative liberties in telling the story, it is apparently very close to what really happened. Without that knowledge, one might consider the story to be overdramatised by Hollywood, even though if it is not.
Excellent acting, excellent visual effects and suspense about the outcome, if you do not know yet what really happed, until the end.
Yes, they could not avoid some kitsch scenes, but you can easily ignore them in this overall excellent movie.
We really enjoyed this film, it was well acted, suspenseful and was very dramatic.
its technically a fantastic movie.
rather than the story (obviously interesting regarding the true story which is really surreal) the way they showed the fires and the VFX behind it was top notch
The Lost Bus was really good — super intense and had me glued to the screen the whole time. I live in a wildfire-prone area, and the movie nailed that sense of urgency and chaos so well. Some parts even reminded me of Only the Brave (2017), which has a similar vibe.
