>*"I've seen a beast in the guise of a huge kangaroo! A 7 foot tall big red! I named him Rippy."*
Takes itself too seriously. For a movie about a CGI kangaroo that kills people it's strangely devoid of comedy and borders on beredom with all the slow quiet serious parts... i'd even call it a downer. Not sure if it was actually trying to be scary but that goes out the window anytime I see that CGI kangaroo going about. Speaking of, he gets maybe two minutes of screen time if i'm being generous it's so disappointing. The cheap CGI really took me out of it and the thrills are laughable because of that. The scenes always cut before the actual kills which is lame except for one kill involving guts. Nice wounds that all looked like practical effects though. The cop character made me think of Dexter's sister Debra for some reason. A fun last couple of minutes but it's not enough to justify all the boring parts before that.
