Docudramas are a guilty pleasure of mine — a comfy, digestible info dump I could just as easily read on Wikipedia. Swiped delivers on that front, but the story of Tinder and Bumble is simply too uneventful to make for gripping drama. The film struggles to create any real tension or impact, not because of bad film making, but because the true story itself is surprisingly bland. Whether that's due to watertight NDAs or if the creation of these two applications is simply as mundane as portrayed, Swiped ultimately ends up feeling more like a recap than a narrative, leaving little to linger on once the credits roll.

I took a chance on this one, and enjoyed the watch!
