I enjoyed this movie. Good action, interesting story, not too long and a nice easy watch. 👍 Sets up for the next movie in the Franchise. 👍 Looking forward to it. Red Sonja 2!

It could've been worse. At least they didn't cast Pedro Pascal as Sonja.

If you can accept the low budget b-movie aspect of the film, it's a damn good time.

How do you recreate one of the moat underrated heroine in today's modern day. The idea of the story was good, but the scripting made it less desirable. Tasha Huo tried to inject a lot of feminism into the story, which made Red Sonja the feminism warrior in her mine. Unfortunately, it made Red Sonja irrelevant and only an intro to the Sumerian King, as comic fans know as Conan the Barbarian.

There was an injection of philosophy that was surprisingly interesting but also twisted. The philosophy of going back to mother nature and against science. Hua injected that mother nature will always win against science in the beginning of the story and twisted it to human kindness and love will win the day. Like Barbie, audience would misunderstand the meaning in the beginning, but at the end they would find out that that's not the story.

The main story itself, it's about regrets and what one forgets as we grow older. It's about leaders of corporations and countries who got confused by his or her surrounding. So they cheat, lie, manipulate, domineer, enslave while campaigning it's for your own good, very obvious which countries and corporations this film tries to convey. At the first half of the film, I almost believed that this film is campaigning about Greta Thunberg, but then the story twisted and made it clear it wasn't, not even about feminism. It's about letting the world evolves on ita own without humanity twisted interference using science, religions or politics. By the way, majority of the funders (producers) of this film are old money Jewish, not the new generation liberals, but traditional legacy rich people.

After visualization of Bridgette Neilsen as Red Sonja for decades, 6' tall, physically strong and very scary. Mathilda Lutz looks like a cute version, standing about 4" or 10 cm shorter. Lutz' background as a model gave her flexibility and graceful movements in fight scenes. But she did earn her version of Red Sonja.

That begs the question of who would be Conan the Barbarian.

Overall, an enjoyable film, despite the small budget and tricky script. If they would make a sequel or Conan, I do hope they clean up the unnecessaries to make the story better.

Movie was fine, but the dialogue sounds off to me a lot of the time and they didn't spend enough time in the arena for me to buy the friendships.
I think her death would have been more impactful if they fought together or if was the one that thought Sonja how to properly use a sword.
It made no sense why she didn't attack Sonja immediately when the emperor ordered them to fight each other.
Thee end was good that I would watch a sequel.

Remarkably _not bad._ The cinematography was generally really good, and the same for the costumes. I was reminded of the look of the Starz Spartacus series. The plot was comic-booky, but not in a good way.

This showed some promise. I could watch a sequel or a series based on this, but I'd get bored pretty quickly if it didn't get better. There's enough to like, though, that it gives the impression that it could get better. If I can't have a Conan series, give me a Red Sonja series with Matilda Lutz, or adapt _Shadow of the Vulture_ for the sequel.

What it lacks in story it makes up in Visuals. . it's worth a watch but don't expect too much.

It's a movie. Yep.

It's not great, but in the way that the entire genre hasn't aged well. But if you love those old fantasy sword and monster movies this might be the best you're going to get nowadays.

This was really not good, incredibly cheesy and a terrible story (yes I'm aware of how bad the original is). I'm not sure if they should have gone _more_ serious or leaned into the silly-retro more?, but it just didn't connect for me.
Matilda Lutz was amazing to watch, like always, but I don't think she's enough to pull the movie up. The score was pretty good.
