Fair! It was cool to learn new facts.I found it informational .Should have been a series with a deeper dive in some areas.
It might have been a good documentary if they went deeper, which you cannot achieve in a single 1h30 movie. If you're already familiar with the overall Manson story there's nothing new or exciting here.
A real low point in the work of Errol Morris.
a well-produced documentary with solid pacing and a polished presentation. Unfortunately, it doesn’t bring much new to the table and eventually gets lost in conspiracy theories that undermine the whole thing. A missed opportunity for a case that deserved better.
The documentary is well-crafted, but the idea that Manson was part of a CIA and FBI research project on mind control is pure conjecture. The show presents no evidence and the author whose work forms the basis of the speculation admits, “I’ve never been able to put [Manson and the CIA scientists] in the same room at the same time.”
