Requiem for a Gringo

Returning home, Ross Logan immediately gets into conflict with the Carranza gang, which had just crossed the Mexican border and has occupied a nearby Hacienda. After his brother is killed he plans a cold blooded revenge for which he separates the gang's most dangerous members by using their individual weak points and the general discordance amongst them. The time for the final confrontation is set by the astronomically interested Logan amidst an eclipse.
A somewhat wierd "Gothic Horror" Spaghetti Western that even had a lightning storm going on to help the ominous mood. Some parts were very stylized. The hero wore a Leopard poncho and was known as the "Jaguar man" - he had some skills - either science or magic or both, and was able to use an eclipse to his advantage during a gunfight. As he pursued his revenge against a Mexican gang for murdering his brother, he killed 3 of the gang's best gunfighters. Then he played a game with the gang leader "Where is Charley? -Oh yeah, I killed him."

I saw this dubbed in English on The Grjango Channel as "Dead for a Dollar". That version included the 3 major gunfighter killings as flashbacks. Other versions of this film have them chronological. The movie is also available for rent on Amazon Prime Video as "Duel in the Eclipse"
