Curse of Chucky

After her mother's mysterious death, Nica begins to suspect that the talking, red-haired doll her visiting niece has been playing with may be the key to the mounting bloodshed and chaos.

Awesome course correction for the series after the abysmal Seed. Goes back to its roots and aims for straight out horror. And it's pretty effective in that regard. What I like most is that unlike other lazier franchises, it doesn't just write off the weaker entries as non existent, but rather finds a way to tie in the whole mythology.
Great after-credits scene :-D Play with this! *bang*.
This was so good. Especially after watching Seed. I thought well that's it, this series has gone too far downhill. But I loved it. I did take a point off because I don't understand how the Chucky animatronics looked better in the earlier movies.
>*"You know, you remind me a lot of Andy Barclay. He was a whiney little bitch just like you."*
That's how you do a revival properly! Return to basics with a more serious and scary tone while keeping some comedic elements from *Bride* and *Seed*. The mansion looks beautiful and the iron elevator cage is a nod to the 1988 classic. Chucky looks awful weird at first but love what they did with that later on in the movie. Nica Pierce makes for one of the best protagonists in the franchise the only ones who beat her in that regard is the legendary Andy & Kyle team up in *Child's Play 2*. The kills were all sublime and the score was especially great in this one. Elevator scene, chili scene and reveal scene in the attic are my favorites. Loved the black white yellow flashback with Charles Lee Ray. Best after-credits ever!
wanted to give it 6, because it was for me like comedy, not horror movie :) but when saw that is coedy (in genres) so 7 :)
Another mediocre movie in the series. Why not make less but better movies? Ok for fans
A decent reboot/sequel that's better than the usual made for DVD movie. And certainly better than some of the other sequels.
A return to horror that is pretty decent. I do kinda miss some of the humor but making Chucky scary again is better. The after credits is the best part.
