The Constant Gardener

Justin Quayle is a low-level British diplomat who has always gone about his work very quietly, not causing any problems. But after his radical wife Tessa is killed he becomes determined to find out why, thrusting himself into the middle of a very dangerous conspiracy.
An artful film of great beauty and great sadness. This film rightly attracted much award attention: Oscar, BAFTA, motion picture professional entities, and others. The acting is sublime. Rachel Weisz won an Oscar, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Award for her character who was truly the beating heart of the film. Ralph Fiennes’ performance was beautiful and understated. The cinematography was a love letter to Africa as much as the writing was its distress call. In my opinion there was nothing to fault in this production. I give this film a 10 (intricately beautiful) out of 10. [Political Thriller]
