This kind of movie isn't going to work for everyone. The fantasy angle sometimes borders on the absurd, but the movie never stops being a joy to watch. I felt like I was on a crazy adventure and I was fine setting aside my disbelief for a couple of hours. It kind of reminded me of Captain Hagen's Bed and Breakfast in that I knew that I probably shouldn't be having as much fun with the movie as I was. The backstory is also pretty interesting - I can't remember the last time a movie with so many stars went straight to video. Finally, I damn near spit out my drink as the movie ended. I had no idea that Gary Oldman was a lead as I had grown so used to seeing him in dramas.

The runtime of this film is, canonically, 1h56m. I watched it on Kanopy, though, which was the only source to present it in a 1h52m variant. The difference happens to align with the shortening one would see when projecting a 24fps movie at 25fps… so that's very curious indeed.
Hopefully that's all it was, and not a cut scene.
A little squirt, but Christopher Lloyd Will never abandon the genre?
