Easily my favorite from Val Lewton collection and one of the best horror films. I remember the first time watching this, it stayed with me for a really long time. Truly remarkable horror noir about a young woman goes to find her older sister who disappeared then find out she's involved in an evil worshipping cult. It's risky and bold for its time. It delivered this gloomy eerie atmosphere with shadowy mystery drama that kept me guessing. I can see Rosemary's Baby took inspiration from this. Jean Brooks looked absolutely stunning with that bang!

Well, that was terrible and completely unnecessary to watch.

It's weird seeing a young Kim Hunter before she had her signature "Zira" voice.
