After watching Thomas Ian Nicholas in an incredible bland ‘A Kid in King Arthur’s Court’ I needed to list my spirits by watching something better, and letting T.I.N. redeem himself here felt right. This is a comfort movie for me and I will surely watch it many more times in my life!

American Pie was released 20 damn years ago. It used to be one of my favorite films when I was around 12/13 and throughout my puberty. The music, the humor, Nadia, Stifler, Eugene Levy, the apple pie scene, everything worked for young me.

But now that I'm 30 and reading about American Pie being 20 years old already, I thought it could be a good time to revisit the main slices of American Pie as I've never seen the straight to dvd ones.

Anyway, the charm is still there for me and now there is nostalgia too. I still could dream the film and every joke coming up, most of the lines and in the end, those 90 minutes flew by. I don't find it as funny as it was 15 years ago when I was in full 15 year old puberty. But it has its moments.

I like the cast, Eugene Levy is the best, Stifler is still Stifler and at the end, they almost all got laid before they graduated.

"It's like banging a tennis ball against a brick wall, which can be fun. It can be fun, but it's not a game.

American Pie is still one of my go to movies to just have fun. I know it isn't all that but I grew up with the film and nostalgic runs big on me with the first slice of the "American Pie".

I still love seeing Eugene Levy as Jim's dad, I still laugh at almost everything the Stiffmeister does, MILF, MILF, the soundtrack, blink-182!, the Sherminator will truly change the life of one lucky lady someday, the way Jason Biggs dances, BANDCAMP, the horrible acting of Thomas Ian Nicholas, Natasha Lyonne's Jessica would still hold up today! That little monkey, being used, Stifler's mom, like warm apple-pie, the scene where Jim shows off his vocabulary.

In the end American Pie still brings me a smile to my face and just shows that my sense of humor has trouble growing up. But heck, I laughed my ass off and that is what counts!

Really what makes American Pie superior to other teenage comedies are the characters. There are lots of characters in the movie and all are well constructed, crazy in their own way and simply fun to watch. On top of that their dialog is very good and highly realistic and believable. For me, this film still holds up today.

Absolute classic. The entire series is awesome, even the spinoffs. Been a while since I watched the series, time to work through them. #1 of 8 movies. The origin of the acronym MILF!!!!
