Happy romance, funny family drama, bittersweet ending.

Just saw this a couple of months ago -- can't believe it's fifteen years old (kinda hammers at the bittersweet element for me). I do love all of the characters!

While I enjoyed this film a bit more than I thought I would, it was really nothing special. Not surprisingly, it works best when Thurman and Streep are on screen and not as well when they aren't. It does a decent job investigating many themes, and I think it nailed the ending.
