Mea Culpa

Franck and Simon are both good cops. They work as partners. But their lives take a tailspin when Simon, driving drunk, causes a tragic car wreck. A few years later, out of the police, he is forced to take matters into his own hands when his family is in danger.
A fairly standard thriller that is short on plot and interesting character development with a final twist on the relationship between the two central heroes that doesn’t ring true despite the earnest nature of the film. It is still fairly entertaining though, largely down to some very well crafted chase sequences and a tense showdown on a train. It is a shame the story that has been crafted around these sequences couldn’t live up to them.
