Hot Pursuit

This comedy is great! Love it.

This is an adorable comedy. It’s a simple story, but the two main characters bring it to life.

Like Thelma & Louise... they were not for sure ;>

A meh to cringey movie made all the worse by its ending which totally underminds the only admirable characteristic of its main character.

One of the unfunniest comedy I've ever seen; it does not have a single good joke, it is totally overacted and cliché-ridden, it is totally forseeable, it does not even close all lose ends (why are the cops in this again?), things just happen unexplainedly, the characters behave stupid most of the time. The action is not interesting, the characters are not interesting, the story is totally boring, wow. This is unimaginable bad.

Only the acting is okey, if you know Reese Witherspoon from other movies you can tell that here she is playing a role - and fullfilling it perfectly - to the best of the script. But that's all the positive that I can find and that I can tell.

It won't hurt you to see this, but you wouldn't want to spend any dime for it, because that's just not worth it. And if you've got anything better to do, probably spend your time doing that, instead. However, for a boring evening, with nothing else to do and nothing else to watch, it will make time pass a little bit faster...

There's no good actor in this movie… the story is flat, the action is boring and whatever they do is amazingly weird. Some jokes are alright but altogether this is a really horrible movie. I expected more from Reese Witherspoon and I was disappointed that Sofia Vergara is basically playing a boring version of her Gloria from Modern Family…

Talented actors are undone by a terrible script and shoddy direction. A film not worth chasing down.

Not really that funny, the jokes are trying too hard to be funny and the 3rd act is so different tone wise that it just feels tacked on because it's a movie about a cop so it needs to be edgy

An uptight cop (Reese Witherspoon) is tasked with escorting the wife of a drug dealer (Sofia Vergara) on the witness protection programme. They run into an underground plot by corrupt police officers and are forced to run for their lives. Guess what? They are like chalk and cheese. This should be hilarious!

Perhaps this is a bit harsh, the relationship between the two is actually quite entertaining at times; it’s just a shame that it features in what has to be one of the worst films of the year so far.

It’s hard to see how hackneyed old bullshit like this gets made. The same story has been done time and time again, and it takes so much more than a faint spark of on-screen chemistry to work. And yet, Hollywood seems content with throwing an ‘odd-couple’ together and hoping for the best.

There’s little point in going on with the review. Hot Pursuit is a drab, tired waste of time. Any attempt at humour fails, and any glimmer of potential dies within the first 10 minutes. Sofia Vergara’s chest has more charisma than any of the characters.

A hot mess to be avoided at all costs.
