Intense!!one of the most shocking ending ever!

For anyone paying attention, the central mystery at the heart of the film is quite obvious, but even though the film tries to maintain the element of surprise, it is equally as interested in exploring how the characters deal with the consequences. Anchored by three great performances, especially the two boys, it remains quite unsettling throughout, not least because even if the audience guess what is going on, the filmmakers play on the audience's sympathies and use this to explore increasingly darker themes and create some very unnerving moments. Well worth a look!

Spent most of the movie being like what am I watching, but then the plot twist made me forget about that. A really creepy movie. Worth a watch.

Whoa that was intense. Went into the movie without any expectations and boy did it surprise me.

I felt certain that I had watched this once before - and indeed I _have_ watched something very similar; twin brothers who think their real-life mother is an imposter, etc etc - but I don't remember the ending being this twisted and such a surprise. This, to me, was a superb movie; the mood from beginning to ending was incredible, filled with foreboding, and you knew something was amiss...you just weren't sure what it was. The story kept you dangling until almost the very ending, which (personally) I loved. Some viewers might be turned off by such a sudden twist but frankly, it caught me so off-guard that I loved it. Although this can be considered a "horror" movie, don't watch this expecting a lot of gore or kill scenes (although there are a couple of violent scenes). This is what is meant by _psychological horror_ and it delivered in spades. Although it's an Austrian film - with the native language being German - the English subtitles make it very easy to watch in American English, and having to use subtitle in no way detracts from the overall feel and darkness of the story. The producers/director used, in my estimation, great judgement in avoiding a musical score throughout much of the film; the silence only added to the dark feel of the movie. Similarly, the cinematography was excellent throughout. The story wasn't "perfect", of course; there were some weak spots here and there, things that actually made you think, _"Yeah, right..."_ but if you can look past those places and just brace for the ending, this may be - as it was for myself - a really nice change of pace from a lot of the stuff that's floating around out there right now.

Exception movie that keeps you on the edge until the end. Feels like Hichcock. Highly recommended for fans of the genre.

This was brutally good! Brilliant!

Disturbing, but the "twist" was pretty obvious early on. Nonetheless, it was suitably creepy and tense.
