One of the better zombie movies made... Schwarzenegger shows great range. I'm a fan of his and im a dad so it was easy to get sucked in. This is not an "unlimited bullets and everybodys a marksmen" kinda zombie movie lol this one is for adults and it's great

If you come expecting a zombie action movie you’ll be disappointed. If you want a tense drama that deals with some ethical question when people you love take 8 weeks to turn into zombies then you’ll love this movie.

The movie was so dark at times I couldn't actually see what was going on! However, I did enjoy this film, I love both Abigail Breslin and Arnie. It was gripping and I felt for them both.

Arnie is back, axe and shotgun in hand, he takes on the zombie horde in this explosive, over the top, action thriller....except no, he doesn't, although I wasn't lying about the axe and shotgun. This is a slow paced, atmospheric drama. Arnie gives a brilliant performance as a father coming to terms with the fact his daughter is a zombie. There is no action and gore but that's fine, the film isn't going for that. Its a relationship drama between father and daughter and nicely played.

I'm amazed that somewhere, someone pitched the idea of Arnold Schwarzenegger starring in a zombie movie but not firing a single gun shot and write it as a drama instead of making it an action flick. And I'm even more amazed that it actually worked pretty well. Of course there's still room for improvement but if you're ever in the mood for a rather slow and sad movie about caring father and his dying daughter you might give maggie a try.

I've watched this movie twice already because the second time I did not remember I had watched it 2 years earlier already. I think that says everything about how average this movie is. The idea is really interesting and it's well made, but somehow it slips your mind really fast again…

A unique take on the zombie genre, Maggie is a provocative indie horror film. After receiving a zombie bite a young girl named Maggie is brought back home by her father to be cared for, and to allow her to say her goodbyes before she turns rabid. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Abigail Breslin both give very strong performances; especially Schwarzenegger, who does an excellent job at portraying the burdens and struggles of a father with a terminally ill child. Additionally, the makeup effects are quite impressive and have a realistic, virus-like look. However, the plot is pretty formulaic and kind of just prolongs the impending showdown between Maggie and her father when she inevitably goes full zombie. It can be a little dull at times, but overall Maggie presents a compelling vision.

Arnold Schwarzenegger in a zombie drama movie, hmm... interesting.

The story is about a Midwestern teenager is infected by a disease that slowly turns the person into a cannibalistic zombie. Despite the growing threat she represents, her father will defy both the risk and the authorities in order to protect her.

Ever since I first heard the news about Arnold Schwarzenegger in a zombie movie with Abigail Breslin I was already sold and the trailer for the movie helped a lot. It's about time that we got a zombie movie that's deep and indie, I mean it would be interesting and original to see then the goof over the top zombie movies that we always get. Now after seeing Maggie I was a little bit disappointed, but there were a lot to like when it comes to positives.

I know Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't the greatest actor on the planet, but he is so likable in real life and in movies, I mean I can you not like this guy, he's basically the best worst thing to happen to cinema. Arnold in this movie actually pulled off a good performance, he wasn't just playing himself or doing one liners, he actually did a good and serious performance and it actually worked.

Abigail Breslin also did a great performance in this movie playing the teenager slowly turning into a zombie. In the movie you see her turning and the effect's it has on her and her father is truly heartbreaking to watch, and her performance sold it for me.

The chemistry between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Abigail Breslin was just spot on brilliant. They performances really helped me to buy into the father and daughter thing and it payed off so well, because there are scenes in this movie where it was so sad to watch when it cuts to the two of them talking about their past life and how worried they both are.

The movie was shot beautifully, the writing was alright for the most part, the directing was good and the Arnold and Abigail were the only thing that kept me watching till the very end.

Now for problems: These a scene in this movie were Abigail character see's this boy (He's the same age as her and he's also infected). The two of them have a little love triangle and I didn't really care about. The scene it self could have been cut out of the movie as the scene and the boy never get's brought up again.

The ending to the movie just kind of ended just like that. I already thought of a better and more sad ending to the movie, but since I'm keeping this a spoiler free review (For the most part) I just thought the movie ended at the wrong time and could have ended better.

Overall rating: Maggie was an alright movie with two solid performances from Arnold and Abigail.

I want your brains! This film was very dark, slow paced, creepy in parts, I liked it, good film, but would of loved to see more between maggie, and wade, and to see how it would of ended off after the ending.. 5/10
