A must see documentary if you value your rights and freedom. The events surrounding this leak already have significant historical importance, they will take on more significance as time goes on and the intrusions upon our liberties persist and expand. Sometimes its easy to forget the human factor of such large stories and issues. The people involved often become black and white caricatures instead of the complex human beings they are with complex beliefs, motivations and goals. This documentary does an excellent job of reminding us of the human side of this story.

I follow the issues covered by this documentary closely but couldn't bear to watch this film until now as I already knew all about everything covered. This film was a fascinating look into the mundane aspects of being a whistle blower.

I know I will be logged into the Trakt.TV database as I type this, but his point about us all needing to stand up and not fear their oppression is true. Looking this issue square in the eye is the first step for us to be able to dismantle the Orwellian systems that we now suffer under. If you're not mad as hell about the loss of privacy, then you don't understand what is at stake. If you truly understood, you'd be mad as hell.

Related but random: I'm glad Trakt.tv accepts bitcoin and i want to pay cause i love the site. But they need to accept other crypto-coins because the transaction fee's for BTC are off the chart right now.... :(

I think that the information released through this documentary, is for the most high importance for all of us who use the internet. A must see, indeed.

That was probably the most suspenseful documentary I've ever seen, even though I knew the outcome from the start. I hope we continue seeing more brave souls like Mr. Snowden step forward and call govenments and agencies out on their complete abuse of power.

Brilliant film on a terrifying subject. It's amazing to feel like you're witnessing history and that thankfully it was (mostly) all recorded. Like one of the speakers in the EU meeting mentioned, our generation is one that no longer finds anything shocking, and this didn't shock me in the slightest, most likely because it's a relatively old story, which has turned into general knowledge by now. Even so, it's still scary as shit and you find yourself thinking "well, as long as i follow the law nothing will happen to me" but that works as long as the law is democratic, what happens when it's not? (which is already happening in some places around the world). In all honesty, if i don't choose to ignore this, I dont think i can live in peace ever again. Anyways, if we're talking about cinematic achievements, this is definitely one of the greatest documentaries Ive watched, think, it's almost totally observational and let's you make your own conclusions, the footage is obviously relatively edited since they must have had so much to work with, but the important bits are included in an almost completely raw way, it's great.
