Ocean's Thirteen wasn't as great as the first one in the trilogy but it was a big step up to the second film. All the original cast is back again except for Roberts, which I was cool with the film should focus more on the core gang of thieves themselves. Once again the acting was great and the story line was a step up from Ocean's Twelve. It was an incredible and fun film to watch.

I've enjoyed all of the _Ocean's_ films but this one struck me as particularly enjoyable...possibly because there seemed to be more levity, humor and spontaneity in this one. Revenge doesn't _always_ have to be about cold-blooded killing or malicious intent and here, it was just a group of friends wanting to avenge some bad business pulled on one of their own. I also found this one to be less convoluted than the first two (and certainly not as bizarre as _Ocean's Twelve_ ) making the whole storyline easier to follow. With a stellar cast like this trilogy presents, of course you know the acting will be superb, and it was here...on all parts. Enough of a twist thrown in there near the end to make the whole thing even funnier and I love the way it ended. Great finish to a great trilogy, and highly entertaining.

A quality way to wrap up the trilogy! Better than the sequel, and as expected not as good as the original. Cast is better than ever and the heist is as fun as ever!

Rating: 3.5/5 - 8/10 - Would Recommend

Now, this is an OCEAN'S MOVIE!!!!!!!!!

It easily could have just tried to copy the first Ocean's film but it didn't as this film is more of a revenge film than a heist film and the entire way through the film you want to see the Ocean Crew get there own back for Elliot Gould (Reuben Tishkoff) as he is wronged in a really horrible way. To me, this film is funnier than the first film as it had me in stitches at times and the heist is a lot more intense than in Eleven (no point mentioning Twelve), only thing was it was a little slower than Eleven in some ways.

But the main reason this film is so great is the addition of Al Pacino (Willy Bank) who before this I have never really seen him as a villain and he was just so perfect, I found I hated him so much and you want to see the crew take him down sooooooo badly. I also like the twist with bringing Andy Garcia (Terry Benedict) onto the side of the Oceans crew was genius as even though you know not to trust him you just like him so much.

Give this one a watch, I say just watch Eleven and Thirteen.

Recapture some of the magic of the first - more than the second certainly.

A more enjoyable plot. Pacino doesn't do his shouty overacting. And Damon's career rise is reflected aptly by giving him a more substantial role.

This is worth a watch despite the first overshadowing hugely. The second could actually be missed out if you really didn't want to soil the thinking...

In general, this film redeemed whatever went wrong with Ocean's Twelve. I wouldn't say it was as much of a well-oiled machine as the first, though. See, Danny Ocean has money, so he has the ability to basically pay anyone to do anything for him, making the heist in question less spectacular and a whole lot more easier...technically speaking - Just like Tony Stark with remote control suits in Iron Man 3. The level of impossible difficulty is essentially gone. Still a lot of fun, though.

**The Good**:

+ Throughout the trilogy, the motive behind Ocean's team has changed from greed to personal enjoyment to revenge.
+ The story is a whole lot more comprehensive this time around and the script makes sure it always guides the viewer on to the next face of the operation - it's easier to follow a number of small operations building up to the big heist at the end.
+ Stylistically, _Ocean's 13_ is still very close to the previous two films, which feels safe from the point of the viewer.
+ I love the return of the big stakes and the casinos as well as the clever solutions to many of the problems the team faces.
+ The story progresses more evenly now and the heist itself rolls on very nicely throughout the film. The level of excitement is at best very high.
+ By this move you really feel like you know the team members personally and seeing them work together is a joy.
+ The heist has been expanded to slowly uncover itself throughout the entire movie.

**The Bad**:

- Sometimes the story feels a bit too simple and straightforward. The lack of a compelling twist at the end is a shame.
- I felt bored by the fact that they didn't shake things up stylistically for this film.
- Some of the things the team pulls off don’t seem particularly plausible in real life.
- There are some unnecessary interruptions to the otherwise well flowing heist movie.

**Verdict**:

_Ocean's 13_ marks a huge improvement over the lacklustre second movie but it feels like a pale copy of the first movie.

If I don't know what to watch the Ocean's movies never disappoint - if you ignore _Ocean's Twelve (2004)_. They're just a lot of fun 😁

The first hour was probably my least favourite of these three movies, but the second half made up for it. Still not as good as the first installment, but definitely better than the second simply because it returned to using the first movie's formula.
