Drumline: A New Beat

Movie was a decent sequel at best. The nostalgia was nice, but overall it could have been better.

The first one was alright. This one only has 10% of what made the first one a good movie. [spoiler] Too much love drama that was an unnecessary addition to the story and less about the actual drumming. It was cringy enough watching the same old cliché college student romances but then the director and the dean?!? The whole brother being director of the opposing school and the ex-husband of the dean was so obviously to "make the stakes higher". Also thanks for giving everyone a happy ending except the gay guy because his love interest wanted to stay in the closet and leaving it open ended like that. [/spoiler] Too many plotlines that dragged the story that then had to be rushed to completion.
