Greaaaaaaat movie. So great. A lot are saying its the best of the year or the summer. I disagree with that but it is in my top 5. Also my favorite Ben Foster performance and I'm very happy for Chris Pine to be in a critically acclaimed film. I feel he sometimes comes up short even though he's consistently great. Including in Horrible Bosses 2. That movie is hilarious and so is he! Watch that. Then this.
Modern western done right. Taylor Sheridan's script is fantastic. Jeff Bridges and Chris Pine give amazing performances. This is one of my favorites.
I don’t understand why Ben Foster isn’t in everything. Probably because of War Craft Lol. But he’s still pretty talented.
Hell or High Water
A fantastic example of a neo western, that is full of mood and atmosphere and tension.
The cast was amazing and every emotion and motivation felt real and believable.
Beautiful cinematography and soundtrack.

That ending. I really liked the whole movie but that ending was really great. I wonder how the story ended after the credits rolled. I'd love to know that.

+ Written by Taylor Sheridan, whose first produced screenplay became last year's largely acclaimed thriller "Sicario" -- Source: Ebert
+ Perfect chemistry and outstanind performances by all cast members
+ Eye popping cinematography
+ Excellent movie flow
+ Gunplay and Heists by the dozen
No wonder the movie is nominated for 4 oscars
Very good movie. Not quite innovative but the atmosphere is great and the actors are solid too. Jeff Bridges is a bright star for sure but I just loved Ben Foster and his sick character (not exaggerated though) and I think that people responsible for smaller part casting did an awesome job. The young waitress character or the old man in the bank are small gems in my opinion.
And the music! Damn, so great and played a huge part in building and reducing the tension throughout the movie. Solid piece of cinema, definitely recommended.
The things we do for our kids...
What a crazy story.
**Great movie**
This was a modern western bank heist film. The shots and locations were great, it added a layer of authenticity to the film. You definitely felt like you were in West Texas. The pacing can be a little slow at times but it never drags as the dialog between the brothers is always interesting. Definitely recommend this movie, especially to fans of Westerns.
The technical high point is the way the story is told.
