Genuinely a great movie as can be expected from Denzel Washington, an edgy thriller keeps you on your toes. A sequel better then the original that pulls you in emotionally and intellectually, multiple plots leading to a hell of an ending. If you haven't seen it then your missing out cause its an entertaining movie.

_The Equalizer 2_ is an incredible action movie that lives up to its predecessor. The action scenes are intense and well-choreographed, with McCall taking down his enemies in creative and unexpected ways. Washington once again delivers a great performance, perfectly capturing McCall's nuanced personality and depth of character. What sets this movie apart is its focus on personal relationships, and the way McCall's compassion for others drives the story forward.

I got exactly what I wanted from this sequel - Denzel Washington brings another great performance, and thankfully the rest of the production improves upon the original.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. It's still nothing that gave me any sort of wow factor, admittedly, but it has that extra little something more that I felt the 2014 film was missing. The supporting cast/characters are more memorable for one, with Pedro Pascal and Ashton Sanders being very welcomed additions.

Pacing-wise it's also improved, as is the whole vibe of the flick in truth. The twist is a good'un, while the use of weather is excellent; using stormy conditions can easily be overdone, as seen in 2020's 'Force of Nature' for example, but it really adds to the atmosphere here nicely.

We're just short of a year from 'The Equalizer 3'? Sign me up!

"Who are you?" "Ya Father, your mum just didn't tell you about me" - Literally cried with laughter

I must be the only person who prefers this film over the first one, Denzel Washington returns as the Equalizer and just like in the first film, he kills it in this role and acts the hell out of an action film that honestly doesn't need it but trust me it makes these films so much better. But seriously I like this one more as the story is so much better and engaging to me, also the cast is better in this film with the addition of Pedro Pascal (Dave York) and Ashton Sanders (Miles Wittaker) being absolutely fantastic.

Still think this franchise would make a better TV Series as watching Denzel go through lots of different cases throughout this film is honestly perfect and keeps the film exciting and interesting. But Antoine Fuqua finds a way to pull this off much better in this film with better pacing and also he is an underrated action director because though he uses shaky-cam / quick-cut action film techniques he does affectively as it makes the action scenes a little more unique.

Give this a watch and get ready to have some fun :)

They managed to match the quality of the first movie in this sequel. A rare feat these days.

Greetings, fellow travelers of the frosty cinematic realm! I am Kiba Snowpaw, the alpha Ice Wolf from the frozen world of HowlStrom, and I'm here to share my exhilarating review of the 2018 action thriller, "The Equalizer 2." So, grab your furry coats and let's dive into this icy adventure!

Basic Plot Summary: A Subzero Quest

"The Equalizer 2" takes us back into the world of Robert McCall, portrayed by the legendary Denzel Washington. McCall may seem like an ordinary man, but beneath his unassuming facade lies a past shrouded in mystery. He has retired from his life as a vigilante but finds himself drawn back into action when a dear friend is brutally murdered. McCall embarks on a chilling quest to unravel the truth and deliver justice, crossing paths with old allies and new adversaries.

Analysis/Evaluation: A Blizzard of Excellence

This sequel to the original "Equalizer" is nothing short of spectacular. It builds upon the foundation laid by its predecessor, offering a thrilling and emotionally resonant experience.

Characters: The Frosty Heroes and Villains

Denzel Washington's reprisal of the role of McCall is nothing short of captivating. McCall's character, now fleshed out further, navigates the complexities of his past and present with grace. New characters, like Susan Plummer (played by Melissa Leo), add depth to the narrative, while old friends, like Susan's husband Brian Plummer (played by Bill Pullman), provide a sense of continuity.

Structure: A Snowstorm of Suspense

The film's pacing, reminiscent of a blizzard's ebb and flow, masterfully weaves together moments of suspense and emotion. It takes its time to develop the characters and their relationships, allowing the audience to invest deeply in their fates.

Impact: An Avalanche of Emotions

"The Equalizer 2" leaves a profound impact, much like the howling winds of HowlStrom. It delves into themes of loyalty, justice, and the consequences of one's actions, leaving viewers with much to contemplate.

Hook and Thesis: A Frigid Quest for Truth

The hook of "The Equalizer 2" lies in the timeless theme of seeking justice for the fallen. Its thesis asserts that even in the coldest of circumstances, the embers of righteousness can ignite a blazing fire.

Praise and Critique: A Frosty Masterpiece

While some may argue that sequels often pale in comparison to their predecessors, "The Equalizer 2" defies that notion. It retains the brilliance of Denzel Washington's performance and adds layers of complexity to the character of McCall. The action sequences are as breathtaking as a snow-covered landscape, and the emotional depth is palpable.

Evaluation: A Snowy Triumph

"The Equalizer 2" stands as a testament to the power of storytelling within the action genre. It takes the elements that made the first film great and elevates them to new heights. Denzel Washington's portrayal of McCall is, once again, a tour de force.

Comparison and Conclusion: A Frosty Masterstroke

In the vast tundra of action sequels, "The Equalizer 2" stands tall as a frosty masterpiece—a film that not only lives up to its predecessor but surpasses it. As I bid farewell to this chilling adventure, I can only hope for more cinematic experiences as exceptional as this one.

Stay frosty, my friends, and may your cinematic journeys be as exhilarating as a winter storm on the plains of HowlStrom.
