The Nightmare

Stylish and hypnotic coming-of-age story that's actively attacking your senses with the incredibly aggressive use of strobing light and overpowering techno punk music. The epilepsy warning was no joke. It starts with interesting opening that introduces a lot of ambiguity with its portrayal of a non-linear time disturbance. The film tackles the fear and insecurity among teenagers who about to reach adulthood, personified in an odd yet adorable alien creature. Due to its theme, it resorts to blur the lines between what's real and what's not, to create a delusion of a person whose world is thrown off the rails, leaving you with a deep uncertainty. An interesting ride for sure and definitely worth a try.

The creature looks exactly how I imagine a Mongoose to look. Mongos made this movie. Also, one point off for having one of the Ochsenknecht-Clan in it
