My favorite part about this whole movie was Vanilla Ice as Mark Twain. I probably re-watched him dancing at least 10 times. Don't know why but it cracks me up!
Really enjoyed this one! Very funny!
If your a fan of Adam Sandler or Terry Crews you should love this movie. I was not sure how this movie would be but I found it pretty funny my self.
Watched on weed and mollie, gave it a 9
To be honest, I’m kind of surprised this one got such low ratings. It’s definitely a stupid funny, but I would definitely put it in the same type of comedy as Water Boy.
Wow this got crucified. I actually had a really good time with it and I've not liked a Sandler film for a while and his usual entourage have grown very thin but I enjoyed them here.
As for the cast it's wide and varied, it's a continuous "hey thats him/her". I particularly liked Terry Crews but that maybe because I think he is gold in everything.
It moves at a pretty good pace for its runtime except for the baseball bit which absolutely should not have made the cut as it killed the momentum entirely and went on too long. I can kind of understand not wanting to cut a 'name' ("Don't fuck with the Jesus") from the film who clearly wanted to work with them but the whole bit was a one note dragged out way too thin.
The Steve Buscemi scene was magic. His unbroken demeanour throughout had me transfixed as it went from bad to worse.
I have to say I really enjoyed Taylor Lautner. I found a comedic respect for him watching the second season of the UK comedy Cuckoo when he quasi-replaced Andy Sambergs character (he played his son) and it was a real wtf moment. I wouldn't be surprised if it was that turn that landed him this gig.
I liked it and Netflix should have stood by it rather than trying to disappear it from their front and centre presence in the first couple of days.
When Tommy's (Adam Sandler) father he just met is taken by outlaws. He leaves the Indians who raised him on a mission to save his father Frank (Nick Nolte). While traveling he meets some dimwits that all are his half brothers. Who join him to rescue Frank.
While the movie is better than recent Sandler films; it's still not great. Since Ridiculous 6 is a Happy Madison Production it relies on scenes like a donkey shooting diarrhea at people or sexually pleasuring Taylor Lautner (Grown-Ups 2) for laughs. I found the movie mostly more lame than funny.
However I give the movie points for some decent sets, locations and costumes. Sandler fans will probably enjoy the movie since they enjoy his brand of tasteless humor, bad acting and bad accents he does. If this was released in theaters; Lautner would no doubt get a Razzie Award. He is awful and tries hard to be funny but he's not.
In better form are Luke Wilson, Steve Buscemi, John Turtoro, Nick Nolte and Will Forte. They aren't in the movie enough to save it though. Lautner however has too many lines lol.
The worst thing in an "Adam Sandler movie" is the Adam Sandler.
On the internet it's pumping like the worst movie on Netflix. Critics chose him as such. Well curiosity killed the cat and I went to see it, and this movie is far from the worst movie in the world. On the contrary, it's the best film I've seen by this Adam Sandler (who always makes films of dubious taste). I think the veveno distilled against this film is because it is a film designed to please the masses. But the shot backfired. For the film is a film a little more ambitious and intelligent than that. Despite not being a superior film, it is an above average film. Certainly. It got me some laughs. There is one scene in this film that is traumatizing, so heavy that it was made by filming the shadows instead of filming the actual content.
