"What's a Magneto?"

Always loved the x-men films so glad there being put back in the cinema and this was the first it’s such a great film.

The characters definitely make this great though wolverine was the obvious highlight I was a big fan of Rogue her powers are very unique as we see later in the film, wish we seen her in the latest x-men movies, of course the OG’s Professor X and Magneto was fantastic.

The story was simple but the Conflct between the Mutants and humans is always interesting to watch ,It was so funny to see what Senator Kelly turned into after Magneto tried to turn him into a mutant like wtf was that."Mankind has always feared what it doesn't understand."

Don’t get people don’t think this as good dialogue just because of the cheesy one liners that’s the comic relief of the film and it becomes the norm for Wolverines character especially.

The negative I would give this film and it’s not even that bad is that other than the group the side characters like toad and sabretooth were abit underdeveloped and mostly felt comedic.

Do still like this film a lot and it holds up well very nearly a 10.

This held up better than I expected. Maybe it's some nostalgia but I still think this is entertaining. I love all the character and their interactions but the story isn't the best and the special effects are dated.

Hard to believe this was released 17 years ago. Part 1-2 and Days of Future Past are the best ones. Otherwise the movie franchise a mess. Not bad movies but X-3 messed things up. Days of the Future Past attempted to fix that but made things more confusing.

Whilst short of some of the more explosive set pieces we are used to from recent superhero films (not you terrible 2015 Fantastic Four), this is still a triumphant beginning to the X-universe and is perhaps the film responsible for the continuing success of the genre (not you 2005 Fantastic Four).

A respectable treatment of the comic and a welcome antidote to the Batman movies of the previous decade (dark and wonderful; bright and awful).

The first in the x-men franchise. An excellent superhero story with a top-notch cast that delivers. Get to know the bunch and see how they fare in their first adventure.

This is such an exciting, fresh take on superheroes in 2000. Yes it's an old comic but the transfer to the big screen was a great start to the franchise. The Wolverine and Rogue relationship was both hilarious and touching. We get to see the side of Logan that not everyone gets to see.

God, I forgot how good Bruce Davison was at being a slimy (not a pun), bigoted politician. Also, how fucking awful Halle Berry's inconsistent accents were. Also, between this and Mission: Impossible II (sorry, originally-intended Wolverine, Dougray Scott), I forgot how much Oakley was paying for product placements in the summer of 2000. And, of course, the always-relevant "what happens to toads when they're struck by lighting?"

It may not have been the box office juggernaut (intended) that Spider-Man would be just two years later, but even with all its faults, it was still a welcomed return to form for the modern super hero movies, inconsistent Berry accents or not.

While _none_ of the attempted Dark Phoenix adaptations have been remotely close to "good", I can at least appreciate the fact that they were setting the groundwork for that eventuality _this_ early.

Seriously, though, as much criticism as I have for the Fox-Men franchise, this was still a decent entry. Perfect? No. Faithful? Eh. Fun? Hell yeah!

And now as I'm preparing to watch the rest, I'm reminded of the fact that I'm gonna have to endure the "Uncle Ben's many deaths" trope when it comes to Charles Xavier.

"Kings to you, Charles."
