Considine is terrific as an ex-boxer suffering with brain damage, but kudos should also go to Whittaker, who matches him with sheer heartbreaking intensity in her performance. A fabulous film, and a reminder (I hope) to many, that boxing is a very dangerous sport, and should (in my opinion) be banned.
