A great cast doesn´t nessecarrily translate into a great movie.

What is true today was so in the past, too. You notice Terence Youngs style, he did the first of the Bond movies, but if the idea was to do a Bond like movie set during WWII it was not succesfull. Triple Cross is a decent spy thriller set during WWII but the great cast is wasted on a slow and not really gripping plot.
