Great movie!! I really enjoyed it! The only thing that was a little dumb in my opinion was the fact that AXL got damaged so badly from the fire when Sam tricked him. How does a highly intelligent, cutting-edge army technology dog get damaged from fire? You would think it was fire proof and indestructible considering in battles, fire is almost a given at some point.
good
This had to be one of the lamest movies I've watched in a while.
Some latest high-tech AI dog that gets destroyed by a bit of fire
Very enjoyable. Nice, easy watch.
A-X-L (2018) - ❤x7
This surprised me. I found this to be a thoroughly enjoyable movie. You find yourself caring for the 2 main characters as well as A-X-L.
This is essentially a remake of "Short Circuit (1986)", only this one is not built around comedy, but around action and drama.
How I rate:
1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too
9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!
I hate this kind of movie. You see it, but keep you thinking all movie about some topics.
Some future robot being develop by the army, cutting-edge technology, never seen before, and then some guy (not even a bike can ride), fix it with some screwdriver and an angle grinder?? Really, damn.
Could be better, I just love the dog's scenes. Didn't like any characters.
Thake Short Circuit and/or Chappie and remove the charismatic rebot for a dog and put it into a movie for teen and you get A-X-L...
A TRANSFORMER-esk fable: Powerful military tech meets handsome boy and becomes adorable companion. Add a sexy girl and the formula is all there. But it didn't quite work. Maybe good as mindless pre-teen fare but not sophisticated enough Sci-Fi for an adult palette. If only it had lived up to its sleek poster. Too bad, Alex Neustaedter, Becky G and Thomas Jane have some credible acting chops. Needs a reimagining if it warrants the sequel for which it sets itself up (more credible human lives, more credible boundaries of threat). I give this film a 5 (meh) out of 10. [SciFi Action Adventure]
Meh and predictable movie, but still entertaining. Good effects despite the budget, and dog was cute for a killing machine.
Also, what's with that army sarcasm "you put civil lives in danger"? Most of the time army kills thousands of innocent people.
