Phenomenal adaptation to one of Stephen King's more disturbing novellas! Thomas Jane is an excellent Wilf! This is definitely a keeper and also another reason why Netflix originals are leading the pack.
Wow he mind of Stephen King is amazing especially with this movie, certainly a great watch and Thomas Jane is one amazing Actor....love most of his movies especially The Mist and Dreamcatcher from the great mind of Stephen King again....
Thomas Jane proves romance isn't dead in this heart warming tale of family life on a thriving farm in 1922
Enjoyed this. Had no idea, until the end that it was an adaptation of a Stephen King book. Do agree with others here that the accent from Thomas Jane was very hard to understand at times. Did spoil my enjoyment a little but nonetheless a very good film.
Written and directed by Zak Hilditch. From an atmosphere charged with tragedy and pain, 1922 is a typical nightmare draw from the mind of Stephen king. Highly recommend.
Good film and story from King but hard of hearing at times from Thomas characters accent his character had but he did a good leading role.
There are 1'922 rats in this. At least.
Really great atmosphere and quite creepy. The practical effects are good, CG not so much.
Both 1922 and Gerald's Game are the best Stephen King, character study adaptations. Since the Green Mile. They are both dark dramas that make you question reality.
Of what is just Wilfred James' (Thomas Jane) guilt coming back to haunt him or actual ghosts. As well as the burden of being a single parent taking care of a son and a farm by yourself.
1922 is more of a character study than a ghost story. Thomas Jane (Dreamcatcher, The Mist) makes you feel for him with one of his most moving performances. Even if you know, you should probably hate him. Or be grateful bad things are happening to him.
Faithful to the original King story, which is sad because it isn't his most exciting.
