I don‘t know how you can watch this movie and then decide „hey let‘s make a remake with Adam Sandler and make it a comedy“.

A good, entertaining and uplifting sports movie with the twist that it happens in a prison. Good entertainment.

Fun film that fits in with the other 70's Burt Reynolds comedies. Excellent football scenes with split screens are a product of the time, but nails it. Funny, fast paced and thoroughly entertaining. James Hampton steals every scene he comes in contact with.

For those of us from outside the USA that don't give a crap about American football, the movie's success lies in the first two acts. The game is just too long and repetitive. The other inmates could use some development, too.
