Hands down the best (horror/thriller) movie I've watched this year. I love Kevin Bacon and I'm into everything he does, but this was a great story and exceptional acting (also by the kid).

I feel like I saw a different movie than other commenters. For me, this one was exceptionally fresh, except for the whole "haunted house" premise. The characters did not do follow the usual "what's that noise? I better check it out because I'm dumb" routine, all three lead actors were SUPERB playing their respective characters and the plot was more than believable (until the supernatural that is).

Definitely a fresh take and, boy oh boy, the house was amazingly well done, interior-wise.

This movie is disturbing. And a very... smart way of introducing Evil ! Living with its time lol.
I ended up crying because you find out that the man is not who he lets others see (his family). The rest of the world know he is guilty but that's how the judiciary works haha.
I like, The mountain came to Mohammad, you can't fake it. Good and Evil know who we all are. This house is KARMA personified (materialised).
What I love about this movie is this difference ! No blood flowing like rivers, no screams. This is made for the clever ones. And, for those who are tired of the too much violence and blood in horror movies. This is SMART HORROR, PSYCHOLOGICAL, it literally plays with your mind.
(I am so happy, KEVIN BACON !!!! TREMORRRRRRRS YEEEESS ! MY MAN !!! ❤❤❤❤ (He is the reason why I watched it hihihi))

You don't need to leave. Despite the baffling ending, this is a decent chiller. Bacon and Seyfried are good and the Welsh setting adds to the mystery.

I love Kevin Bacon, but Hollywood has got to STOP pairing men with women 30 years younger than them. It's sickening, Bacon was almost 30 when Seyfried was born. What's wrong with these people?! Has David Koepp some sort of wierd fetish? Do we need to worry?
