How to kill your own movie? Make a completely different movie in the second half.

This was never going to be a terrific movie, but it was starting quite promising. The close-ups of the drawings and how perfectly they were being made is by far the best part of this movie. And precisely on the connection between art and counterfeiting is where this movie was being interesting and giving the whole counterfeiting movie a different thing about it.

For a weird reason, middle of the movie, everything about changes, and we are introduced to situations that make less and less sense as the movie explains things. I mean suddenly
Painter becomes John Wick with no explanation or clue that he was that deadly.
.

Not to even mention the "oh wow, what a plot twist, that was so unexpected, who could have even imagined that" end.
I mean, who could have imagined that the character who is a painter, was actually Painter all along. Shocking
.
They also forgot to tell us in what moment Ng Sai Ching became important for the operation. A character that appears in a short scene and suddenly, she's in the rest. I would be willing to bet they cut out a scene or more from the final cut between the scene where he shows the color shifting painting and the military camp massacre. It just doesn't make sense how all of a sudden Sau Ching is relevant to the story or why was she even there or later.
