More violence in the first 30 mins than the entirety of any other film and then it gets more violent. Loved the blood splashing onto the camera in one scene. Superb acting gives this a full 10 as Craig Fairbrass is great as ever and Scott Adkin’s delivers a wonderful performance in the lead role. Overall, a realistic revenge scenario that Hollywood has never been able to replicate as realistically or as violently.
Who doesn't love a UK gritty revenge movie?? This one is up there. Great acting, great story and lots and lots of violence. Do not pass this one up.
Entertaining and well-crafted revenge film, with very good action sequences and incredible performance from cast.
_Avengement_ negotiates the same explosive cinematic minefield as VFW yet avoids the occasional missteps which can undermine a film and cause it to bomb.
The usual Scott adkins kicks 20 guys about at the same time kinda movie except this time. The big difference is the have shotguns and blades, but they still attack him one at a time so there's no a match. But seriously it's entertaining and good action from start to finish
Avengement (2019) - ❤6
Scott Adkins - pretty much the king of the Action B-movies these days.
Unexpectedly, I found this to be a pretty decent action movie with a good story.
How I rate:
1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too
9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!
For those who like movies with fights, here they are served, the only thing different is that it is English. Low budget and few scenarios, but it makes up for it with a few fights in which what they have on hand is used
Very, very violent movie. Well acted but quite shocking in its violence as one man reeks vengeance on those who set him up and landed him in Jail.
London gangland thrillers are not my thing, and neither are movies starring Scott Adkins. Still, I gave this a go, mainly because of the presence of This Is England's Thomas Turgoose, an excellent young actor. He was the best thing about the movie, of course, but surprisingly, Adkins and the film itself surpassed my low expectations. It wasn't that bad, and while I wouldn't choose to watch it again, I still had quite a good time watching it.
