"Las niñas bien" (The girls from wealthy families), whose title is translated into English with a not-so-accurate and too generic "The good girls", is an excellent film. It portrays the Mexican economical crisis in 1982, seen from the point of view of rich families from the upper class. It's a well written, well shot and well acted film (the leading actress is superb in her subtle interpretation), a social satire which perfectly represents a pivotal period in Mexican history.
Social criticism about the equalities and snobbish elites of Mexico
_Las Ninas Bien_ / _The Good Girls_ is like watching a Mexican _Keeping Up with the Kardashians_ in 20 years as they lose their money, only without the schadenfreude.
