Whatever Happened to My Revolution

Angela was 8 years old when the first McDonald's opened in East Berlin - Since then, she has been fighting against the curse of her generation: to be born "too late" at a time of global political depression. Coming from a family of activists, her sister chose the world of business and her mother abandoned overnight her political struggle to move alone to the countryside.
An uneven indie effort about a young woman wielding her ultra liberal politics like a broadsword, thus keeping those closest to her at a distance which is where she wants them. The excess of screaming, political and otherwise, didn't sound good to me but writer / director / star Judith Davis has put together an efficient film with scenes of discomfort filmed so perfectly you'll try to look away. Definitely worth a watch.
