I watched this movie. Apparently rated it an 8 so I did enjoy it. 6 months later and I can't even really remember having seen it.
A simple and a bit brainless movie... But some humor in it.

This is a pretty wild mystery movie where Charlie Hunnam plays a disgraced private investigator who gets tangled up in a murder case involving a famous actor, played by Mel Gibson. It’s got a cool noir-ish vibe and some solid performances, but the plot can get a bit twisty and confusing at times. Still, it's fun with its sardonic humor and quirky characters. Worth a watch if you're into offbeat mysteries.

It felt like Kirby was trying to imitate Guy Richie. The script certainly felt like it for sure. Of course, a couple of the scenes had the lighting wrong, my opinion, especially in the bar. The cast was the right group except that teacher, but the character isn't much to the story. That is the one character that could've been written better. Baccarin seemed off also a bit in her scenes. Maybe the guy didn't really know how to direct women?

I think it's going to be a 50/50 shot whether anyone likes it. I thought it was okay.

Whatever this was trying to be, it wasn't. Unless it simply wanted to be a waste of everyone's time. In that it succeeded brilliantly.

Zero redeeming qualities. Avoid at all costs. F+
