It's wonderful that they still have new funny ideas on the same subject

Probably my least favourite hotel Transylvania but still good, like they tried something different again, wish they kept Sandler and Kevin James for this one , but still enjoyed like that Dracula handed the hotel over to Mavis and Jonny.

Would be a nice way to end the franchise but they’ll sadly probably make a 5th lol.

Doesn’t deserve the bad reviews either.

It wasn’t as good as the other hotels so won’t be staying another night but it wasn’t bad, it was alright and did have some good moments and lots of comedy and i think it should end there.

Huh, somehow it seems like they cannot come up with a good story anymore. There are many scenes and elements that I love but overall the concept feels lacking. My main issue is that some things feel just "stupidly silly". I'm not quite sure how to describe it but it kinda makes me feel stupid when watching it. It also feels a bit too all over the place...

Anyway, there's one very good thing and that are the animations. It feels like the previous movies had better ones but overall they're sill great. Of course they're "silly" to but the good kind of silly. They're really funny and also feel creative(/intelligent) - but there are exceptions of course. I love those animators for making such things happen.

IIRC the first two movies are the best. The third movie introduced Erica and her father and I dislike both, unfortunately. At least Erica became acceptable in this movie.

Tbh at this point I might just be watching Hotel Transylvania movies because of the animations and Selena Gomez (I miss having her as an actress in movies [0] so it's nice to at least have her voice acting - there are of course other good voices and voice performances as well).

Edit: Oh, LOL, Ninja was a voice actor for this?!? Interesting choice, I guess :) I'm not gaming anymore and it's too long ago that I watched a few of his videos so I didn't recognized his voice but I imagine it would've been quite funny if I did :D (E.g. I find John Oliver very funny as a voice actor for similar reasons.)

[0]: Edit2: If I think about it they probably weren't as good as I remember them. There was always something annoying but IIRC I usually liked Selena's performance (in the few select movies that I watched).

NOTE FOR MYSELF SO I REMEMBER SOMEDAY, ONLY REPRESENTS MY OPINION/THOUGHTS FOR MYSELF NOT A “REAL REVIEW“, SO YOU PROBABLY WONT AGREE WITH IT
(also its not my 1st language)
5-6
like another one said some scenes are just silly stupid and not actually funny, story is interesting but not really well executed, I remembered I enjoyed the first one more than I expected and it was actually funny and not just a stupid kids movie like I expected but it feels like this franchise looses quality from movie to movie :/ its still watchable tho, but not a must
-the animation looked cheaper than in the other movies
- I didn't like Johnnys monster look but that's just a preference, it did look similar to his human form
this series has been excellent except for this one. a bit of a let down sadly. the story was bland, the jokes weren't funny and it was really hard to keep my attention to the movie

Wayne finally got a moment of peace after becoming Walter.. only for just a moment till he had to get back to his dad duties. This was a fun watch!

Well, this fourth movie does not work quite as well as the first 3 movies. Still Ok entertainment, but do not expect the same as for the first 3.

I've been expecting a drop-off from this series and it has finally come. Admittedly, it still isn't all that bad.

'Hotel Transylvania: Transformania' is basically what I expected its past entries to be like, at least the most recent two. I mentioned in my 'Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation' review that the watchable plots were the only thing I was enjoying about these flicks (cast/characters being extremely meh, same again here) so one was bound to slip up eventually.

This one I found to be quite boring, if not terrible. Focusing heavily on just Dracula and Johnny was a bad call, especially given Adam Sandler's absence as the former. I actually wouldn't have predicted that the film would've missed Sandler (given my aforementioned thoughts), but it's a case of you don't know what you've got until you lose it because Brian Hull is a lame replacement; nothing against him personally, of course!

The setting of South America just takes out any 'Hotel Transylvania'-y vibes too, so another wrong decision in my opinion. Here, the story isn't interesting enough to, like across 1 to 3, cover for the gaps in location, cast, characters etc. - at least in my eyes.

Still harmless and all that, just lacking oomph.
