The best of the lot. Solid production and set design that evokes the lived in aesthetics of the original, characterization established through small but meaningful lines and actions, a subtle focus on the working class and their solidarity... it's the one that would most benefit from a full film.
Nice to finally see an alien! The budget obviously didn't allow for much so the filmmakers managed to use a "less is more" approach. The two main characters were quite developed for such a short amount of time spent with them.
This is nothing amazing and has some really dodgy moments of acting, but it did manage to create that little bit of unease I associate with the _Alien_ franchise. It's just a shame that this didn't try to do anything original.
I would like to note all 6 short movies for systematic watch-ability.
Ore
Night Shift
Isolation
Alone
Specimen
Harvest
Containment
