The director's first and only science-fiction work, _La decima vittima_ is a film set in a dystopian future that serves Petri to continue his critique of the capitalist system that has characterised much of his work to date. Starring two cinema giants Marcello Mastroianni and Ursula Andress, the film is a work whose forced ambition leads it to border on the ridiculous. It is unclear whether it is a comedy, a drama or a grotesque film. Many scenes are unreasonably forced and the plot (from which the director himself partly distanced himself) is rather questionable. Undoubtedly interesting is the visual innovativeness and the soundtrack that make it in its own way a pop art product, however, to be seen... but with low expectations.
