Rom-zom.

Actually, I don't get all the hate over this. It's a standard zombie film, though I could've d'une without the romance.

Maybe I was distracted by the fact that Alice Pagani is the most beautiful woman on the planet?

Some movies seem to have everything they need to work, but they fall short. Don't Kill Me starts with a premise that could have been interesting: a young love story with a supernatural horror twist. However, what begins with some potential ends up getting lost in erratic development, flat characters, and a plot that never really takes off.

The biggest issue is that the movie doesn’t seem to know what it wants to be. It jumps between teen drama, tragic romance, and horror without finding a solid balance. Instead of embracing its darker elements, it drags out scenes that add little, and the dialogue feels empty. The pacing doesn’t help either: the story moves too slowly, and just when it seems like something important is about to happen, everything cuts off abruptly without delivering any real impact.

Visually, there is an effort to create an appealing aesthetic, with careful cinematography and moments of melancholic atmosphere. But that’s not enough if the characters don’t work. The protagonist, in particular, feels too flat, lacking the depth needed to make her story matter or make the audience care about her fate.

The most frustrating part is that the movie leaves the story unfinished, clearly setting up for a sequel that never arrives. Instead of providing a satisfying narrative arc, it feels like the plot is cut in half, leaving too many unanswered questions and a sense of emptiness rather than intrigue.

Ultimately, Don't Kill Me had the potential to be something more in the teen horror genre, but it falls short. It fails to be either thrilling or scary, and its lack of a real conclusion only reinforces the feeling that it’s a wasted opportunity.

Why Netflix foreign horror films are mostly garbage. This is an insufferably dull film that just meanders along with no real sense of direction. I honestly can't think of any redeeming qualities of this. I don't like the uneven tone, the meandering plot, or the failed attempts to tie up the handful of disparate plots the film has. Lots of unnecessary nudity and sex scenes, probably to appeal young Netflix users. Don't waste your time.
