This one gave me the warmest and most fuzzy feeling. A cozy watch to remind us that we can dream about anything we want and that it's never too late to do so.

Delightful movie with the wrong name. That's really the only reason I can see is hasn't done better, and the title is from the book. Book titles often struggle in the film industry, seems anyway.

So Mrs Harris makes a hoopla in Dior. Mrs Harris begins a new. Mrs Harris finds herself, and helps a lot of other people find themselves along the way.

Heartfelt, wann and mostly upbeat about a woman who the last 12 years seemed to have forgotten. Or perhaps she had forgot herself until a chance word by someone that is mothering an ahole makes her dream of something new, not necessarily better, but new, revived, a goal.

It is also close to my heart as people say all the time what others can't do, and she of course comes across the naysayers as the film progresses, but ah how wonderfully she just enjoys the experience.

9.8/10. A couple places could've been better, but it's a truly great film.

This was a pretty delightful film. It was like if you crossed Paddington with Phantom Thread

A fairy tale about the visibility of the middle classes and the superficiality of icons (Christian Dior's elegance hides a deep crisis, romantic Paris is surrounded by garbage...). The pursuit of dreams is the leitmotif of a story with stereotyped characters who know how to twist the cliché (Isabelle Huppert, Lambert Wilson...), more inspiring in its superfluous development than other more ambitious films.

This could have been a little sharper in its dissection of the class system but its still an enjoyable film.

Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris is one of those movies that grandam watches, and after the film is over, she will say something like, “Oh, that was lovely, wasn’t it?” Either way, it’s sweet.

Classic channel-surfing TV film, the classic pleasant comedy of little depth that you would leave on the telescreen during an old-fashioned zapping session.
