The Idea of You

First let me say I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS MOVIE. It was fun romantic in a way only movies are and you know it doesn't really happen in real life but you live it with them anyway. My boyfriend didn't watch it with me but I enjoyed the amazing Anne so much and I loved that it sort of breaks the barrier of older woman younger man relationship. people love each other in all sorts of ways OK this was a fairytale one and I just had a lovely time

Sometimes a happy ending is good for the soul, even if it’s heavily romanticised.

The chemistry was on-point, the vibes were immaculate and the connection felt truly genuine! It was such a lovely romance movie❤

A sweet heartwarming romance with main actors that share a real amazing chemistry ! For what it's supposed to be, I think it did great. One thing I would say against it is that the whole underlying scenario is cliché, expected (but not enough that it'll stop you fromhaving a good time, imo).
I've heard Anne Hathaway has received criticism for looking too young to play a 40yo, even though she herself is exactly that lol. And good for her. Otherwise I quite enjoy Nicholas Galitzine, but I hope he'll be able to not be typecast in the future, so that he doesn't oversaturate the romance flick market.

As a side note, Galitzine is 30. If they cast a real 24yo actor, would it have been cringier ? Maybe, given that we always see 24yo cast as highschoolers. How about irl though ?

What a beautiful film!!😭 Anne Hathaway is aging like wine and her performance is excellent, which doesn't surprise anyone, right!? Nicolas has been a great surprise for a while now with his work, which is also excellent.

I know that this may sound odd, but this movie reminded me of a rom com that masqueraded as a drama. Don't get me wrong, this movie is a straight-ahead drama and is not trying to be anything else. Sometimes a movie just grabs you from the opening scenes and doesn't let go, and this movie was that for me. The chemistry between the two leads was ridiculous, and I didn't want it to end. I think what is all the more surprising for me is that I can't recall liking Anne Hathaway in any other movie. When it ended, I wanted to go back and watch it again.

Cute, Lovely, Mesmerising. A movie made with lots of love and has a heart that shows the duality of society. A great movie, amazing movie, you'll feel good, you can cry, you'll laugh. A lot of emotions.
