Filled with cheese, but it was a great inspirational story. Didnt realize it was based on a real player, but I thought it was well done.

Nice inspiring movie. The religion was not over powering considering the father is a pastor, it belonged. A little slow though. Has all the feel-good you need.

Stand up and cheer! Hallelujah! Do yourself a favor and watch this movie.

I liked everything about it, Including the Christian influence.

Way too much preaching in the first half of the movie, but it finally picks up later. A decent baseball biopic.

A bit of warning. I watched this because I have a soft spot for an underdog becoming the best baseball player ever type stories. What I got was every scene filled with Christian messaging, almost to the point of propaganda. I mostly spent the entire movie reading Christian commentaries about why 'faith-based' movies are so bad. If you're a Christian who likes that kind of messaging, then this is a well-made movie, certainly better than most Christian movies I've watched. If you're looking for a standard Baseball as Life movie then this is probably not worth watching. Go watch something with Kevin Costner.
