Right from the start, the protagonist's ex-wife and daughter manage to be extremely annoying — and that’s not a flaw, quite the opposite. They play their roles so well that it’s impossible not to get irritated, but I get it, that was the whole point. Still, the movie never gets boring or unpleasant.

Liam Neeson delivers an insane performance, as always, especially in this kind of action thriller where he really shines. The script is straightforward, engaging, and fits his style perfectly. Taken has become a true classic of the genre — our very own “government-issued John Wick,” so to speak.

The suspense build-up and action scenes are flawless. Few movies these days manage to keep that level of intensity from start to finish. I’m rewatching Taken in 2025, and I can still say: it’s amazing. It aged like fine wine.

And of course, it’s impossible not to mention the iconic quote that became the film’s signature:

“I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don’t have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that’ll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don’t, I will look for you, I will find you... and I will kill you.”

BEST o this kind of thrillers. . . I like how he is cruel with all those kidnappers and dealers. Recommended to watch.

One of the best movies I've seen. Riveting story about a father's limitless love for his daughter. Action, suspense, thriller.

Awesome movie! So glad I missed the session of the movie I original went to go see and caught this one.

Greak Action, starting to really like Liam Neeson playing these types of roles.

Ahhh I had heard so much about this, and I finally saw it. I can see how many people loved this movie. It was AWESOME, thrilling, emotional. Not to mention, badass. Though not very realistic haha, how he didn't get one bullet untill the end, and how he was so good at everything even though he probably hadn't slept.. Nevertheless LOVED IT.
