A very good movie, capturing essence of early 1960s, and good work by two journalists without modern day aids and gadgets.
Really good movie, with gripping pace and very good acting.
I enjoyed the movie. Kept me entertained.
The ending was a surprise for me but elsewhere, this was a routine and not always interesting version of events.
Good acting with many recognizable actors . It feels like a blatant Zodiac rip off but not as compelling.
A bit slow pace, and the main female characters lack charisma.
Not a great movie, although it looks at a notorious crime spree with fresh eyes. The lead character was really badly miscast. Knightly was all wrong for this role (her resting face is flirtatious grin, which totally belied the demands of the character) although she tried really hard to pull off a North American accent, if not a Bostonian one. The usually brilliant Carrie Coons was cast in a stiff and one dimensional supporting role. So, I guess I’m also saying that the writing and directing was also bad and rigid and the character development missed any semblance of real people. I give this film a 5 (meh) out of 10. [True Crime]
Why this movie was made, I don’t get it. There’s every cliche from every other serial killer or crime movie. Tries replicate visual style of Fincher’s Zodiac, and has so many good actors. Every trick possible.
After Blackbird and Mindhunter this one is garbage.
I had high hopes because of the solid cast, but this plays like a Walmart version of David Fincher's Zodiac.
A movie about a serial killer, but you don't really see the killings. Kinda boring crime movie.
