I went into this with some hard nostalgia bias but still tried to keep as much of an open mind as I could... And I still enjoyed the hell out of it. Probably not as much as 8 year old me but still a fair bit. Ivan Ooze is still one of my favorite villains, very funny and charming. Soundtrack is an absolute banger.

Fuck in-depth critique, this is peak and nobody can convince me otherwise!

Okay, time for the like... Actual opinion portion. And in my eyes... Power Rangers is... Strange. The franchise has always been odd in terms of tone and how it presents itself, and its not everyone's cup of tea. Hell, a lot of PR fans I know don't even like this movie. But genuinely... This movie is a lot better than I think anyone sees coming. It's no masterpiece, especially with the production nightmare that is the third act, but this is a super honest, really fun time, especially with friends are just as willing to engage with it's sincere 90s cheese.
