Better than the Best. Bestest of SCREAM, honoring the elevated horror genre to the very hilt.

"A Sequel To A Requel"

10+/10
Greatness On A Different Level
"I Fcuking Love This Franchise"
Well another Tuesday
And the best Scream movie yet,
And after the events and
The Sadness,
shocking disappointment of what
Went down in
Scream V
I seriously wondered
If another movie was even possible
And not just possible but
Work as Well if at all
let alone be as entertaining.
verdict is in
oh boy this worked
this absolutely worked
and then some.
This Phenomenal movie
kicked ass from start to finish,
everything absolutely worked
so very very well.
I was so surprised how
Frickin Awesome this installment
actually is, I'm even more
Surprised how this installment
Is on a complete
different level than SV.
This installment was
fresh and so much fun,
i had a great time
it was
Brutal and right up in
Your face, and I absolutely
Loved it.
This is my favourite installment
of the hole franchise (to date).
Ghost-face did not give
A fcuk marching around
In public it was like
Ghost-face was in
Full Jason* mode behaviour wise.
Still managed to surprise
And shock me,
I just couldn't believe how
Awesome and entertaining
this installment
Was especially compared
To "S-V" a year prior.
This installment has jumped
In to my top 3 favourites
6,1,3.

Verdict: After decades
The Scream franchise
Still remains my all time
Favourite
Horror Franchise
They evolve and grow
And move with the times
And with current technologies,
and attitudes
Plus with the way online
Social media evolves
and grows.
This franchise
is timeless and just keeps
Turning Banger after
Banger after Banger out
And stays consistent and
More importantly stays
True to it's strengths and it's
Roots and I am Super excited
To see what's next for
"Scream 7" now that it's
Gone into production.
The stakes have never been
so high, because where in
a "mother fcuking franchise now"

GHOST-FACE WILL RETURN
SCREAM VII
(Keep em coming baby).
(Give it up for the
fcuking core 4).

As someone who's only watched a brief summary of the first five this was an awesome movie with awesome twists and 4th wall breaks and everything! (appreciated the Denzel Curry track asw)

Surprisingly great. Even better than the requel. Great opening and kept the momentum for most of the film plus a few fan service scenes thrown in.

Chad was underutilised for most of the film. I hope they give him more purpose if they ever bring his character back.

Horror should always be bloody as hell. Definitely the best movie in the franchise. :clap_tone1:
Pros:
* Different format of the opening scene was refreshing
* The New York setting; the change of scenery was definitely a benefit
* The new Core Four from the last movie are likeable and enjoyable
* Ghostface was relentless and gave some absolutely brutal kills
* Credit for the movie trying to slightly switch up the formula a bit

Cons
* Some of the scenes were so corny / cringeworthy - the whole Tara and Chad thing, especially, had me squirming in my seat more than some of the gore
* Plot armour - stab wounds in this movie are pretty trivial, on par with getting a splinter. Something the characters are pretty much able to just dust off with ease. Most, if not all, of the main cast are fatally stabbed (some multiple times) at some point in the third act, yet are able to dodge roll, parkour/climb, perform takedowns from above, etc. You'd think they were just playing tag. And sorry, but there was no way Chad would have survived being stabbed that many times
* Kirby was underused - felt like she was just brought back so that she could be a red herring for 5 minutes towards the end
* Dumb decisions - these characters should be pros at shit this by now, but they'll be good and god damned before they learn

The series usually handles the balance between horror and comedy well, but I felt it was 50 / 50 with this entry. Not everything landed for me, and for every scene that made me laugh there was another that made me roll my eyes.

Overall though, Scream VI had me thoroughly entertained from start to finish. It was definitely one of the better entries. Looking forward to Scream VII 😆 although, I'd be happy if they leave the legacy characters out now, unless they plan on killing them off. At this point, they just seem to be around for the sake of it, but I think the Core Four can take it from here.
