Holds up pretty good for a twenty year old sci-fi.
By Paul WS Anderson's standards it's a masterpiece.
But the music is just awful, it's like the Starwars score made by a tone-deaf person.
Predictable story but nice enough entertainment for a rainy day.
Oddly enough this supposedly takes place in the same universe as Blade Runner but don't get your hopes up, apart from the odd reference and place names there are absolutely no similarities.

Kurt Russell is a one man army in _Soldier_. When an obsolete soldier is marooned on a remote planet, he must stand up against a group of elite super soldiers sent to eradicate the population. Russell does a solid job at portraying this character, but he’s hard to relate to and his emotionlessness is alienating. However, Jason Isaacs creates a delightful villain that’s a lot of fun to watch. Also, the action is pretty good; though the special effects don’t holdup especially well. _Soldier_ has a few story and character issues, but ultimately comes through with a lot of good action.

Good action flick..
Kurt Rusell probably in the best shape of his life!
Story has some predictability, if you can look passed that...great entertainment.
