The golden age of westerns. For the whole family, must see.

A classic western that is essentially a remake of the even greater Japanese original “The Seven Samurai”. This movie is though well made and has a lot of star power. It is a classic that no fan of the genre should miss.

I have not seen it in years and I still like it. A classic of the cowboy cinema, That song of the BSO. Imagen 3,25/5 and sound 3/5

Seven Samurai set in the old West. This was good film overall. My only gripe is that the score was too theatrical at times. During some scenes, especially early in the film it felt as if a song and dance number was about to break out.

McQueen, Bronson. What could go wrong? Classic Western. Magnificent (sic!) scenery and stages. Boring score - certainly no Morricone. One of the better Westerns since it isn't as polished as some other US movies of this period. I especially like the peasants and other regular people. You get the idea that the wild west isn't exclusively populated by the usual suspects typical for this genre. Still, too many people are too often one-dimensional stereotypes and this is another Western that isn't prepared to break with the usual conventions of the genre.

The main story is good. Simple but good. Luckily, it's not an entirely happy ending. I've heard it's a rip-off from *Seven Samurai* but since I didn't watch this Japanese movie before I wasn't disappointed.

Anyhow, that's a solid classic western.
